NotifyTV ("we," "our," or "us") provides a notification-mirroring service that allows users to view phone notifications on their Android TV. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile and TV applications, including information collected by third-party SDKs integrated into the app.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Notification Data

NotifyTV accesses notification content from the apps that are switched on in its Select Apps list. Common messaging apps (such as your SMS app, dialer, WhatsApp and Gmail) are switched on when you first open the app, and you can change the list at any time. This includes the app name, sender information, message content, and notification metadata. This data is transmitted directly from your phone to your TV over your local network.

2.2 Device Information

We collect basic device identifiers necessary for the pairing process, including device names, local network addresses, and paired-device metadata needed to maintain the connection between your phone and TV. If you use QR-based setup, camera access is used only to scan the pairing code. If you enable phone-call visibility features, device and call-state information may be read locally on your device for that feature to work.

2.3 Usage Data

We collect usage statistics such as app feature usage patterns, crash reports, and performance metrics to improve the quality of our service. This data is collected via Firebase Analytics (see Section 6) and may include device information, app interaction data, and diagnostics.

• To pair and maintain connections between your phone and TV
• To forward selected notifications from your phone to your TV in real time
• To enforce your privacy preferences (sender-only mode, OTP blocking)
• To store notification history on your TV for temporary review

4. Data Storage and Security

All notification data is transmitted directly between your phone and TV over your local network using per-session encryption. We do not store your notification content on our external servers. Notification history stored on the TV remains on that TV and is automatically cleared after 24 hours.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell or trade your personal notification data with any third parties. Your notification content stays between your paired devices on your local network. However, the app integrates third-party SDKs (Google AdMob and Firebase Analytics) that may collect certain device and usage data automatically. These SDKs operate under Google's privacy policies, as described in Section 7 below.

6. Required Permissions

• Notification Access: In order to read notifications from apps you choose and display them on your TV.
• Local Network Access: In order to discover and communicate with your TV.
• Camera Access: In order to scan QR codes during the mobile-to-TV pairing flow.
• Phone (read phone state, answer phone calls): In order to detect incoming calls and show them on your TV, and, if you choose Decline on the TV, to end a call that is still ringing. The app asks for this when you first open it.
• Notifications: In order to show the ongoing “NotifyTV sharing active” notification while sharing is on.
• Run at startup: In order to resume sharing after your phone or TV restarts or the app updates.
• App Overlay Access: In order to display notifications on your TV.
• Internet Access: Required for ad delivery (Google AdMob) and analytics reporting (Firebase Analytics, Microsoft Clarity).

7. Third-Party Services

The app uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify users or improve the service experience. These services include:

• Google AdMob — for displaying advertisements
• Firebase Analytics — for app usage analytics and performance monitoring
• Firebase Remote Config — for dynamically configuring app settings and ad behavior
• Firebase Crashlytics — for crash reporting and diagnostics
• Microsoft Clarity — for usage analytics, including recordings of how the NotifyTV app screens are used (taps, scrolls and screen recordings), processed by Microsoft under the Microsoft Privacy Statement

This website (getnotifytv.com) uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use it, including page views, clicks, scrolling and session recordings. They use cookies or similar technologies and are processed by Google and Microsoft under their own privacy policies.

These third-party services may collect certain information automatically, including:

9. Analytics and Diagnostics

We use Firebase Analytics and related Google services to understand how users interact with the app, improve features, monitor app performance, and fix technical issues.

• Usage duration and feature engagement

This data is used to improve the app experience. Analytics records which apps post notifications on your phone (the app’s package name), but not what the notifications say, and it is not linked to your paired devices. Firebase Analytics data is processed by Google in accordance with the Firebase Privacy and Security policy.

10. Your Control and Rights

• App Selection: You choose which apps can forward notifications
• Privacy Mode: Switch between full message and sender-only modes
• OTP Blocking: Automatically hide sensitive codes from TV display
• Pause/DND: Temporarily stop notification forwarding at any time
• Device Management: Remove paired devices and clear history at any time
• Ad Personalization: Opt out of personalized ads via Android device settings

11. Children's Privacy

NotifyTV is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or our website. Your continued use of NotifyTV after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
